Thake the short down hill to the horse trail and crosses the wooden bridge over the stream. After about 100 yards or so, your in the woods. You can start with the steep double track climb and look for the marked trails from there. There are trails named 001, Yun 2, Roller Coaster, Left Hand Sand, as well as others. Some areas are closed during parts of the season for horse riding, check with the park ranger station for info.
From Interstate 80 and Hwy 50, go south through Springfield, then Louisville about 1.5 miles. Turn right/west on S13E (Platte River State Park sign there) after another 1/4 to 1/2 mile, turn right into park. Follow signs to the Wild Turkey cabins, where the trail begins at the circle drive between the cabins.
